Repeated Story (26-Feb-2008)

This is in response to the Monday Mural at Poefusion. At first it didn't speak to me at all and I was going to take a pass. But my daughter said to suck it up and try it because it might help me break out of the rut I've been in. So I stared at the picture and this is what resulted.

Fairy by Mariposa Viajera

Strings and wings and feathered things
Brazen flaxen hair.
Tomb and gloom and earthen womb
Fabled maiden fair.

Ships and lips and guided hips
Unforgiving moon.
Keys and bees and flowered trees.
Lovers living tune.

Kiss and bliss and spider hiss
Pregnant falling tear.
Round and round and ever round
Unforgotten fear.

Well, I sure am glad your daughter told you to suck it up. I just love the rhythm and especially the first verse.

OMG! I'm also glad you listened to your daughter because this is great. The first stanza is also my favorite. You have done a very nice job.

Thank you all so much. My daughter is often wise beyond her years and I am glad we are so close. As always, I am touched by the overflowing support from this group.

Over what witch's brew did you chant this rhyme?
The words drop into my mind like the foul ingredients of a mystic stew.
This one has power in it.
